Offering innovative solutions
The Investors in the Community (IIC) Programme is at the forefront of the modernisation of healthcare in the UK with the provision of innovative solutions and long-term investment. The IIC Programme currently manages healthcare projects serving over 2.5 million patients and delivering a series of new primary care facilities, partly through the Government’s Local Improvement Finance Trust (LIFT) scheme.
The IIC Programme has sought to produce facilities that are at the centre of the local community, providing patient-focused designs delivering improved clinical services. The Ladies Walk Primary and Community Care Facility is an innovative example of this integrated approach to healthcare, combining a primary care centre with social services facilities and a library, which has been recognised by winning numerous awards.
Pioneering projects have also included the delivery of a mental health hospital for County Durham and Darlington NHS Trust which has been commended for its modern approach placing the facility at the heart of the community.
“From the outset, Investors in the Community demonstrated it was prepared to work with us in a long-term partnership, which is vital in a contract that is going to last 28 years…”
Chris Parsons, Facilities Manager,
County Durham NHS Trust.
